2025 Scholarship Opportunities
AFT Robert G. Porter Scholars Program - 2025
Application Window: January 17th, 2025 - April 18th, 2025
Grant Eligibility: Current Members $1000
■ The AFT Robert G. Porter Scholars Program for AFT members is open to any AFT member in good standing who has been a member for at least one year.
■ AFT members from all divisions—teachers, healthcare, PSRPs, higher education, and public employees—are welcome to submit applications.
Scholarship Eligibility: Graduating Seniors $8000
■ The AFT Robert G. Porter Scholars Program for high school students is open to graduating high school seniors.
■ The AFT member whose child or legal dependent applies for a scholarship must be a member in good standing for at least one year.
■ Children or legal dependents of AFT national, state or local union staff are not eligible for this scholarship opportunity.

Nashua Teachers' Union - Post-Secondary School Scholarship - 2025
Application window: February 1, 2024 - May 5, 2025
Applications must be postmarked by May 5, 2025
The 2025 Nashua Teachers' Union High College Scholarship is open to any children/dependents of NTU members and retirees in good standing in an undergraduate/post-secondary program at a college, community college, university, or recognized trade school.

Union Plus Scholarship Program - 2025
Closes January 31, 2025
Eligibility Criteria
A) Current and retired members of unions participating in any Union Plus program, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations) are eligible. Grandchildren are not eligible unless a legal dependent (as defined by IRS regulations). At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse or parent (if applicant is a dependent). The one year membership minimum must be satisfied by May 31, 2026.
B) Members of participating unions from the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada are eligible.
C) The applicant must be accepted into a U.S. accredited college, university, community college, technical or trade school at the time awards are issued. Awards must be used for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
D) Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply.
