6th Annual Toys for Tots Drive

This year marks the 6th Annual Toys for Tots Drive sponsored by the Nashua Teachers' Union. The blue bins will return for drop off at your school/office. We will continue to have a drop off for new, unwrapped toys at the Union Office. We will continue to accept monetary donations. We will take all donations and purchase toys to donate to our drive or donate it directly to the local campaign here in Hillsborough County. Blue bins will appear in your schools the week of November 1st and we collect items through Thursday, December 2nd.

We will also accept donations by check. Make checks payable to the Nashua Teachers' Union and send to:

Know Your Contract

Did You Know...

Prior to FMLA and Leaves of Absence under Article 6, it was common for teachers in Nashua we became pregnant to lose their jobs when they left to have their baby. There were no legal protections and no contractual protections. While there was leave of absence language in the contract , none of the language fully protected a teacher until the contract that started September 1, 1974. It was not until 19 years later that federal protections were put into place when FMLA was signed into law in 1993. We're lucky to have the provisions of Article 6 and the protections we have when we're sick, have a family, or for other reasons.

PSA: 10-Digit Dialing

Starting October 24, 2021, all calls made will need to include the area code, even local calls. This is in preparation for the new, nation-wide Suicide Prevention Line - 988 - which will take effect on July 16, 2022.

Chef vs. Maid

It wasn't even close! More than 70% of you want a personal maid. I would have selected maid as well. I enjoy cooking!

Just for Fun

Would you rather have unlimited battery life on all of your devices or have free WiFi wherever you go?
