Message from the President
Tonight, the Board of Education will meet at 6:00pm. I have scheduled a rally outside of Nashua High School North to start at 5:15pm. We have other unions, including members of the Nashua Fire Fighters IAFF Local 789, joining us tonight. I ask you all to join me this evening. I am hoping to fill the Board Room with blue shirts again. I know some of you are not comfortable being in the Board Room, and I respect that. Please consider joining us outside until the meeting begins.Â
I have sent you information about contacting BOE members. I asked you to contact them, and many of you have, thank you! I hope some of you coming tonight will speak at pubic comment. I will be addressing the Board for the first time relative to Appendix I (eye) and Article 12.9. I have held out and allowed others to speak on it as it could be seen as self-serving. However, as this drags out and their reasoning for doing this changes, it's time for me to stand up and speak for myself, future Union Presidents, and the future of our Union. In solidarity!

Teacher Retirement Deadline Notice - DEADLINE TOMORROW!!!
Attention teachers considering retirement at the end of this school year!!!
Under Article 4.9A of the contract, in order to be eligible for your severance, you must submit a binding letter of retirement to the Superintendent no later than February 1, 2022.
I would also suggest that you set up an appointment with the New Hampshire Retirement System. In order to receive your severance, you must provide a copy of your first retirement check.
