My Thanksgiving Message
My Thanksgiving Message
The last eight plus months have been challenging for all of us. Whether you want your students back in-person full time, in hybrid or continue in full-remote, all of our jobs have changed and become significantly more difficult. Many of you had to become technology experts overnight, switch gears quickly and still try to teach your curriculum, meet IEPs, hold small groups, run the school office, provide meals to students and everything else that goes into the jobs of the staff of our district. This entire situation is not ideal - that's probably an understatement. And to add to that, the lack of clear direction from the Board is extremely frustrating.

As we enter the week of Thanksgiving, I want to take this time to say thank you. I want to say thank you to all of you - the people who make this district go everyday. Our work days and nights are long and challenging, no one can deny that fact. And our idea of school is not ideal right now, but it will get better. You all have worked to reach your students or meet the needs of students in whatever role you play and for that I am grateful.

Please accept my sincerest wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope you take time for yourself to rest and relax. You have absolutely earned.

How to Cook a Thanksgiving Turkey
How to Cook a Thanksgiving Turkey
When I was teaching 1st grade, I would ask my students how to cook a Thanksgiving turkey. Each student wrote their own recipe for cooking a turkey. I have never laughed so hard in my life reading their recipes. Here are 2 new recipes from November 2010.
