Week of June 7, 2021

There were times over the course of this year that I truly never thought that we would make it to the end of the school year. I know that by the laws of the calendar that we would eventually get here, but there were times that I doubted it. You all have done such incredible work this year. It should go without saying that you do incredible work every school year. I'm preaching to the choir when I mention we don't always have everything we need to be successful. However, you continue to push through and reach your students in whatever capacity you work with them.

This year was filled with so many additional obstacles and uncertainties. Nevertheless, you pushed through to reach your students. We may have disagreed on how to proceed with this school year - some of you were ready to be back in school in September, some of you wanted to wait, and the rest of you were somewhere in the middle. Regardless of where you stood in the debate, you continued to work to reach your students and educate them to the best of your ability.

I am always thankful the hard work and dedication that you bring to your schools each day. But thank you just doesn't seem to cut it this year. You have been through so much and given so much, but all I have is thank you. Thank you. I truly appreciate all that you have done this school year. Words will never be able to express my gratitude.

This will be the final Monday Morning Message of the school year. I wish you all a happy summer. I hope you do something fun. I hope you do something you love. And most of all, I hope you get some time to relax!!! Best wishes to you all, and I look forward to seeing you in August.
