Message from the President
I want to start off by thanking everyone who made a monetary donation or dropped off toys. It was another successful year! I will be honest, I didn't know what to expect. We usually have drop off locations around the district and because of all that was going on, we chose not to do that this year. This year, we also tried something different. We expected monetary donations in lieu of actual toys or games. The members of this Union, once again, we extremely generous. We know that many of you do things with your school, church or community organization. I will proudly drop off the toys to the nearest Hillsborough County pod on Monday and will probably be donating the money collected to our local Toys for Tots! Thank you all, so much, for your generosity!
The Numbers:
250 games, toys, puzzles, stuff animals, Play Doh, Legos, etc. donated
$1,155.00 in monetary donations
Know Your Contract
Teacher Retirement Deadline Notice
Attention teachers considering retirement at the end of this school year!!!
Under Article 4.9A of the contract, in order to be eligible for your severance, you must submit a binding letter of retirement to the Superintendent no later than February 1, 2021.
I would also suggest that you set up an appointment with the New Hampshire Retirement System. In order to receive your severance, you must provide a copy of your first retirement check.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Binge Watching
With services like Netflix, waiting patiently for the next episode to air is a thing of the past for many shows. This has led to binge watching a season in a matter of days as opposed to over the course of a traditional season of the show. As someone who has done it - The Crown, The Queen's Gambit - it is both a blessing and a curse. As we approach a much deserved, extended break, many will turn to TV or streaming services for some down time. So, what should we binge? Share your top picks and I'll share the top 10 just before we head to break.

Favorite Cookie Showdown
The results of the first round are in, and there were no surprises. Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle and Monster Cookie blew their competition away with more than 70% of the vote. The only close race was between Peanut Butter Cookies and Oatmeal Cookies. Peanut Butter edged out Oatmeal with 58% of the vote. We're down to the Final 4.
