Gregory Rodriguez, NSD Technology Director, would like to remind employees about the impact of those policies and shares the following important dos and don'ts:
Dos:
1. **Keep work and personal separate**: Only use your work email for school-related communication and personal email for personal matters.
2. **Use secure storage**: Store sensitive data only on approved and secure storage systems provided by the school district.
3. **Follow Federal and State Laws and District Policies**: Familiarize yourself with FERPA regulations, NH RSA 189:66-68a, and NSD Policies EHAA, EHAB, and the Data Governance Plan and always adhere to them when handling student and personnel information.

Don'ts:
1. **Never send work emails to personal accounts**: Keep school-related emails within the school's email system to protect student and personnel data. Your personal email account can be compromised, and that information is now in the hands of the attacker.
2. **Avoid using USB sticks for sensitive data**: Don't transfer sensitive student information onto USB sticks or other external storage devices, as they can easily be lost or stolen.
