Paraeducator Negotiations Update

The Board of Education voted 8-0 (Mrs. Giglio was absent) to ratify the Paraeducator Contract. The contract will now go to the Board of Aldermen. Below is the timeline for full ratification of the Paraeducators contract.

UPDATED TIMELINE as of April 9, 2023

March 13th - NTU Membership Vote - Contract Ratified

March 27th - BOE Vote - Contract Ratified

April 25th - 1st Reading, Board of Aldermen - Confirmed

Week of 5/1 - Budget Review Committee, Board of Aldermen - Tentative

May 9th - 2nd Reading and approval, Board of Aldermen - Tentative

We have made it to May! As we begin to head to the end of another school year, I was thinking about out of this world things, like the Moon. NASA is working on sending astronauts back to the Moon. In some sci-fi worlds, the Moon is colonized. That's where this week's question comes from.
